A DUDLEY computer whizz has been celebrating after being named one of the top ten female students in England.
Rachel Moss, who excelled at A-level ICT (Information and Communications Technology) at Bishop Milner School, joined other star students from across the country at a glitzy awards ceremony in Birmingham.
The shocked student, who is currently studying IT and Education Studies at Newman College of Higher Education, said: "I feel astonished to be named as one of the top ten performing girls for A-Level ICT in England.
"Receiving an A grade was a huge achievement in itself, yet this award has made me feel over the moon.
"All those late nights spent on coursework and revision has paid dividends."
She added: "I owe an enormous thank you to my ICT teachers Mr Creswell and Miss Bemington who have supported me through my time at school."
Coleen Lloyd, head of sixth form at Bishop Milner Catholic School in Dudley, said: "Rachel worked extremely hard and this is shown through her fantastic results.
"Her achievement is very well deserved and we wish Rachel every success for the future."
The star student was selected as runner up in her category and will be going to London next month to take part in the UK A' Star final.
