WOMEN are being given the opportunity to get back into sport at Dudley Leisure Centre.
England Netball will be running women only classes at the Dudley Council owned facility with the aim of creating a space for females to have fun and exercise.
The new classes are part of a national drive to give women who may have once played the sport, or would like to try it out, the opportunity to play games in a non-competitive environment.
Running from 9.30am to 10.30am, the Monday morning sessions cost £2.50 and include free access to the crèche and refreshments.
The weekly sessions will be held term time only starting on February 22 and there is no need to book.
Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member responsible for leisure centres, said: “It’s easy to fall out of the habit of playing sport as you get older and take on other commitments.
“Many people miss the enjoyment and camaraderie that you find from playing in a team and the back to netball sessions are a fantastic way for women to try out a new sport or get back to playing a sport they once loved.”
