A MATRESS, large teddy and sofa are just some of the unusual items litter pickers came across during the Clean for the Queen event in Netherton.
The Keep Britain Tidy initiative, which is marking the monarch's 90th birthday in June, encourages people to take pride in their communities by taking part in litter picks.
A dozen people joined in the tidy-up organised by St Andrew's Church on Saturday (May 21) and filled 15 bags of rubbish collected from hedgerows, grass verges and roadsides.
