CANDIAN cult comic – and former Black Country resident – Tom Stade is set to appear on a triple bill of comedy in Brierley Hill next month.

The popular stand-up will head the line-up at Brierley Hill Civic Hall during the latest Live At The Civic show on Saturday, June 24.

Tom, who used to live in Wolverhampton, is replacing former America’s Got Talent winner Paul Zerdin, who is currently in the US and has been forced to withdraw from the gig due to tour commitments.

He will be supported on the night by Black Country favourite Doreen Tipton and The Noise Next Door, widely regarded as the best comedy improv troupe in the country. Dudley comic, MC and promoter Wayne Beese will host the show.

Wayne said: “We are naturally disappointed that Paul has withdrawn from the show.

“Having sold so many tickets already, we pulled out all the stops to bring in a replacement that people would be happy with.

“We feel we have done that with Tom Stade. He is one of the most popular stand-ups in the country and one of the very best.

“With Doreen and The Noise Next Door as well, we have a line-up that will rival anywhere in the land on that night.

“It really will be unmissable and we would urge people to snap up tickets before they all run out.”

Dudley News:

Nearly 600 of the tickets have already been snapped up by comedy fans, who last time out saw TV comics Joe Lycett and Mark Watson and Wednesbury’s Jonny Cole perform to a near sell-out crowd of 700 people.
