DUDLEY Castle will be transformed into an open air cinema this summer, with two crowd-pleasing films lined up.

Much-loved 80's classic Dirty Dancing and recent Oscar winning Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody will be shown on Friday May 17 and Saturday May 18.

The spring film events will take place alongside the castle's annual cult horror film showing in the summer.

Zoo Manager Matt Lewis, said: “Our previous open-air cinema nights have proved really popular so we're delighted to be able to put on extra events this year.

“We’re sure these two titles will prove to be huge hits, but we have limited ticket availability, so we advise early booking to avoid disappointment."

Adult tickets cost £15.50 or £10.50 for concessions and can be booked at www.dudleyzoo.org.uk or by calling 01384 215313.

Cinema goers are advised the films, which both carry a 12A certificate, will go ahead whatever the weather.

Horror fans can soon look forward to the zoo revealing details about which cult classics are set to be shown in the summer, in what has fast become an annual tradition at the 11th century castle.
