A SEARCH has been launched to find a man who helped a victim of a pub assault who is fighting for his life.

Police want to trace the man who gave first aid to the victim outside the Fox and Goose pub in West Bromwich as they think he might have vital information.

Nathan Bell, of Highmoor Road, Rowley Regis, appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court on Monday (8 April) charged with wounding with intent in connection with the incident.

The 34-year-old will appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on May 7.

The assault outside the pub, on Greets Green Road, West Bromwich, on Friday April 5, has left the victim in hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Dc Daniel David said: “This was an extremely serious assault, which has left the victim fighting for his life.

"We are extremely interested in speaking to the man who gave first aid to him at the scene.

"He may have significant evidence that will help us to understand what happened.

“We are aware that the picture quality is poor, but hope it will jog someone’s memory. If this is you or you recognise the man in the picture, please get in touch with us.”
