A MACHETE and suspected class A drugs were discovered in an abandoned car in Brierley Hill today (May 28).

Police found the weapon and drugs after searching an abandoned Seat Leon that is believed to have been stolen.

Officers were initially called to reports of a collision between a Seat Leon and a stationary car in Dudley Road, Brierley Hill, at around 10.20am this morning.

A police spokesperson said: "The Seat was found abandoned and discovered to have been stolen.

"A search of the car recovered a machete and what is believed to be Class A drugs."

Police say enquiries are continuing and anybody with information should contact police on 101 and quote crime reference number 20DY/126011H/19.
