BROOKLYN Beckham paid a surprise visit to the Black Country to direct a music video with a group of karate-loving youngsters.

The world famous son of David and Victoria Beckham stopped by at Roaring Tiger Karate Club at the Mary Dermott Memorial Hall in Gough Road, Coseley to direct music video for indie band JAWS.

Steven Humphries, who runs the club, says he was contacted by the band's manager to ask if the band could film at the club for their latest music video- and that the director of the video was none other than the Beckham's eldest child.

The band, whose singer Connor Schofield is from Coseley, have recently released a new album called The Ceiling which has a karate themed cover, leading the band to want to film at the karate club.

Steven, who holds a 6th dan black belt, led a class of 20 students, under the instruction of Brooklyn, and then they enjoyed a performance of the band's new single End of the World.

The 20-year-old, who was joined by girlfriend Hana Cross, then stopped to chat with the young stars of the video and posed for photos.

Steven said: "Brooklyn and the band were well liked by the whole club and everyone really enjoyed the experience. Brooklyn was very nice and had time to chat with all, as was the band JAWS, led by their singer Connor Schofield, who himself is from Coseley."

The video is one of the latest of Brooklyn Beckham's projects behind the camera, following on from his recent book of photography.
