VETERAN DJ's Tony Blackburn and Johnnie Walker will bring the classic hits of the 60s and 70s to Dudley Town Hall next year.

BBC Radio 2’s Sounds of the 60s Live, hosted by Blackburn, arrives at the town hall on Saturday March 14 featuring songs, stories and memories from the golden decade of pop. Music will be performed live by the Sounds Of The 60s All Star Band & Singers.

For fans of the 70s, legendary DJ Walker will take his BBC Radio 2’s Sounds of the 70s radio show on the road next year, with a date in Dudley set for Friday June 5.

The brand new live show will be hosted by Walker, who will offer his personal stories and memories from the 1970s, along with a live band and singers.

Tony Blackburn said: "I’m absolutely thrilled that the Sounds of the 60s live tour has proved so popular and that we’re in a position to extend the run well into 2020.

"It’s proof that the music of the 60s is as loved now as it was back then.

Johnnie Walker said: "It’s a real treat for me to be taking my Sounds of the 70s radio show on the road.

"It’s going to be a great celebration and sing song of one of the greatest decades in music – we’ll talk about the artists who made it so special and will have an incredible band performing all those classic 70s hits."
