THE family of a Halesowen mum with terminal cancer are in a quest to help her complete her bucket list and to make what could be her last Christmas magical.

Lesley Partridge (nee Hall) was given the devastating news last week that she has incurable pancreatic cancer - and has just six months to a year to live.

Her heartbroken family are fundraising in a bid to help Lesley, aged 43, tick off every item on her bucket list, with her first wish to spend a day at the SnowDome in Tamworth and another to go jet skiing.

An appeal at www.gofundme.com/f/lesley-partridge-making-memories has already pulled in £1,879 from well-wishers, with family and friends staging a fundraising trek to the peak of Scafell Pike in Cumbria on Saturday November 30.

Single mum Lesley, of Olive Lane, Shell Corner, pictured above (centre) found out she had cancer last Wednesday (November 6).

She had been suffering from stomach pains for a few weeks and was sent to Russells Hall Hospital where doctors discovered a tumour on her liver.

Her four children Georgina Mole, aged 23, Caylea Mole, aged 22, Brandon Partridge, 13 and Brianna Partridge, 11, have rallied round their mum and want to make as many special memories as possible.

Georgina said: "We are all devastated.

"We're trying to stick together as a family and create as many happy memories as possible while mum is still here.

"Going to the SnowDome is one of the things she has always wanted to do - jet skiing is another!

"We also want to make Christmas really special and create wonderful memories, as it could be her last.

"Mum is very tired and is in pain, but she is staying strong for her children."

On the gofundme appeal, Lesley's niece Gemma Smith, states: "It is with a very heavy heart that I’m having to write this.

"We received the devastating and utterly heartbreaking news that our beautiful auntie Lesley has terminal cancer.

"She is a mother to four amazing children and only has a short period of time to make as many memories with her children as possible.

"My brothers have decided that they would like to fundraise, so on 30th November 2019 they will climb Scafell Pike (England’s highest mountain).

"All funds raised will be for Lesley to use towards making those precious final memories with her children."

Lesley, who Georgina said has worked all her life, had recently started a new job as a community carer at Diamond Care in Netherton.

She received the tragic news last week after a biopsy that what doctors thought was a cyst on her liver was actually a tumour, which was the pancreatic cancer that had spread.

Lesley is being helped by Macmillan nurses and is on morphine to ease her pain.

She is due to start chemotherapy at Russells Hall Hospital in a bid to prolong the time she has left.

Family and friends Ben, Lyle and Aaron Gregg, Matt Green, Mark and Lee Bowen, Nathan Smith, Dean and Phil Partridge, Annalise and Jordan Dutton, Shannon Richards, Georgina, Jake Copestick and Daniel Gilman, will take part in the Scafell Pike trek.
