FORMER Halesowen College catering student Stuart Deeley has completed a meteoric rise in the world of the culinary elite after winning the BBC Masterchef: The Professionals 2019 title.
Stu, a self-confessed 'bit of a bad lad' before discovering his love of cooking on an NVQ at the Halesowen campus, stunned judges Marcus Wareing, Monica Galetti and Gregg Wallace in the final cook-off tonight (Thursday).
Stu, who currently works as head chef at top Birmingham restaurant The Wilderness, also spent a part of his early career at prestigious Chaddesley Corbett venue Brockencote Hall.
