A YELLOW car belonging to a couple murdered in Oldbury has gone missing, police have said.

As the investigation into the deaths of two people at a house in Oldbury continues, detectives want to trace the distinctive yellow Toyota Aygo.

The car, registration number SD17KKY, has disappeared from the address on Moat Road where the victims were found this morning (February 25).

Halesowen News:

The bodies of the man and woman, aged 54 and 52 respectively, were discovered at around 4am today after police were called to check on them following concerns for their welfare.

They had suffered serious injuries, and a post-mortem will be held in due course to formally identify them and establish the cause of death.

A 25-year-old man was this morning arrested at an address in Smethwick on suspicion of the two murders and he remains in custody.

Police said in a statement that the man is known to the couple, and the tragedy is being treated as a domestic incident with no threat to the wider community.

Today Det Insp Hannah Whitehouse, leading the investigation, said: “We understand the shock that this has caused in the local community and beyond, and we are working hard to identify and support the relatives of the two people who have lost their lives.

“Our investigation has already made good progress, but I really need the public’s help in tracing the couple’s car.

“If anyone has seen it being driven, or been offered it for sale, or has seen it abandoned somewhere, we need to know as soon as possible.”

The car can be seen on the drive at the address on Google street view (see picture above).
