A MAN has appeared in court charged with murdering his mother and stepfather at the couple's home.
Jasbir Kaur, 52, and her husband Rupinder Singh Bassan, 51, were found dead from serious injuries at their semi-detached house in Moat Road, Oldbury, in the West Midlands, on Tuesday.
Anmol Chana, 25, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with murdering the couple between February 21 and 26.
Mrs Kaur and her husband were found dead by police who entered the home at 4am after responding to a report of concern for their welfare.
Appearing in the court dock wearing a grey T-shirt, Chana, of Hamilton Road, Smethwick, West Midlands, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during a brief hearing.
District Judge David Wain remanded him in custody to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on March 2.
