POLICE were out in force in Stourbridge tonight - setting up road blocks on the ring road to ensure members of the public were sticking to coronavirus lockdown rules.
Officers swamped the ring road, near to Costa Coffee, funnelling traffic into one lane and asking passing motorists to explain the nature of their journey.

The police checks came as police forces were told to be “consistent” over their handling of new powers to enforce the COVID-19 lockdown which were brought in after the Government introduced social-distancing measures last week to help reduce the spread of the deadly virus.
