Halesowen News:

Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member responsible for trees, said: “Tree works carried out across the borough can be wide and varied.

"Our priority will always be where a tree is considered dangerous to the general public.

“It can range from taking off the basal growth from the stem of the tree, lifting low hanging branches, reducing branches back from structures and removal of the tree completely. This is only done when absolutely necessary where the tree is diseased, damaged or dangerous.

“All trees will have been inspected by one of the council’s tree inspectors, and all work will be raised in line with our tree strategy which is on the council’s website.

“If the public have specific concerns in relation to trees they can be raised via Dudley Council Plus, either by calling 0300 555 2345 or emailing dudleycouncilplus@dudley.gov.uk.”
