BUDDING borough entrepreneurs who are interested in setting up their own business are invited to an advice event in Stourbridge next month.

The town’s library will host its first Small Business Advice event on Tuesday, September 1, and advisers from organisations that specialise in helping people set up businesses will be on hand to offer their words of wisdom.

Organisations so far confirmed for the Dudley Council-run free drop in session include The Prince’s Trust, BizBritain and Access2Business.

Councillor Rachel Harris, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “This is our first event of this kind and I’m hoping it will encourage anyone who’s thinking about setting up their own business to come along to find out more.

“It’s a free drop-in event so there’s no need to book.”

The event will take place between 10am and 2pm, but for those who can’t attend, they can find help online at The Complete Business Reference Adviser (COBRA).

The service can be accessed free by library members at www.dudley.gov.uk/libraries and includes start up guides, fact sheets and other business information.
