The sniff bar will be in Merry Hill until August 4
AN evacuation of the intu Merry Hill centre this morning was a fire drill - mall bosses have confirmed.
Shoppers were filmed filing out of the shopping centre in footage posted on Facebook early this morning (Wednesday October 7).
A spokesman for intu Merry Hill thanked shoppers for their patience and understanding and said: "This morning the centre was fully evacuated as part of a routine training exercise to make sure our health, safety and security procedures are the best they can be.
"We review and test our procedures continually to make sure high standards are always met."
The evacuation happened at around 9.30am and the shopping centre has since re-opened as usual.
