HUNDREDS of people paid tribute to a father-of-four who was fatally stabbed in the back.

Yasir Hussain, aged 34, was found critically injured outside a Chinese restaurant on Central Drive, Lower Gornal, Dudley, on December 4 and pronounced dead at the scene.

Around 1,000 people attended Ghausia Mosque in Nelson, Lancashire, the where Mr Hussain was from, and paid respects to an ‘amazing’ man as previously described by his sister Siyqa Khamum.

Several family and friends of the former Burnley Spar store owner laid floral tributes at the Walton Lane cemetery burial, which followed the service.

A wreath spelling out ‘Dad’ had been laid by his children, Adil, aged 13, Malaika, aged 11, Azaan, aged eight, and Hazan, aged four.

Dudley News:

The funeral took place a day after a pre-inquest hearing into Mr Hussain’s death was held at Black Country Coroner’s Court.

Coroner Zafar Siddique told the court: “I am going to suspend my inquest to the outcome of the criminal trial to see what happens there.

“I would like to pass on my condolences to the family for the loss of Mr Hussain in these tragic circumstances.”
