THE Young Ones and their guests will be bringing to life the Wonderful Land of Oz in their forthcoming pantomime.

Young stage stars will be treading the boards in children's classic musical The Wizard of Oz from Saturday January 23 to Saturday January 30 at the Netherton Arts Centre, Northfield Road, Netherton.

Nine-year-old Isabella Cook, who appeared in the UK touring version of Shrek the Musical when it stopped off at Birmingham Hippodrome, will be starring as Kansas farm girl Dorothy who finds herself transported to a strange and magical land after a tornado.

There she meets a scarecrow, a tin man, a cowardly lion and together the motley group head off to the Emerald City to in search of the great and powerful Wizard of Oz (played by Isabella's dad Carl Cook) in the hope he can help Dorothy find her way home.

Weekday performances start at 7.15pm and Saturday and Sunday shows start at 2.15pm.
