A MAN was due to appear before magistrates this morning (Friday May 24) in connection with a Pensnett crash which killed a teenaged girl.
Arthur Pinches, a 27-year-old mechanic of High Oak, Pensnett, was arrested in connection with the death and has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, and dangerous driving following the crash in Tansey Green Road.
The 17-year-old girl was a passenger in a car which hit a wall and she died at the scene of the horror smash which happened just after midnight yesterday (Thursday May 23).
Her family are being supported by specialist officers, a West Midlands Police spokesman said.
