THE Prime Minister paid another visit to Dudley - following a night of election success for the borough's Tory group.
Theresa May stopped off at Sedgley Conservative Club this afternoon to congratulate Dudley Conservatives on winning enough seats to take control of Dudley Council.
The PM praised local party members for delivering the goods and keeping the authority out of Labour's hands.
Sedgley councillor Michael Evans, vice chairman of Sedgley Conservative Association, said it was "fantastic" to see Mrs May again and he said: "It's the fourth time she's come to Sedgley and I've met her every time. "Previously she went out canvassing. She spoke elegantly.
"I think she's done a fantastic job. She seems to go from strength to strength. That's really good for our party."
Mrs May's visit to the borough follows a night of Tory gains in the May 3 election.
In Dudley - the Conservatives won six seats to poll 35 to Labour's 35 but, with the expected support of an independent Conservative councillor in Heather Rogers and the last remaining UKIP councillor Kerry Lewis, the result was enough to ensure the Tories remain in control of the authority.
