ORGANISERS of the Mapp Fest music festival have presented cheques to the two charities supported by the event, Acorns Childrens Hospice and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
£6,400 was raised, to be divided between the two causes, by music lovers who thronged to the free event held on Malvern Link Common.
This year's Mapp Fest was held across two days for the first time, and to celebrate organiser Andy Mapp's 60th birthday, the Red Arrows performed a flypast at the close of the festival on the Sunday.
Mr Mapp said: "I would like to thank all the people from near and far who made this wonderful community cerebration of our fine musical heritage possible. I would also live to say special thanks to the neighbours for their tolerance."
