PREPARATIONS are in hand for one of the biggest events of the year in Tenbury.
The town is gearing up for the annual Festival to Celebrate the Apple that takes place on the first Saturday in October.
It will be held on the Burgage but there are also events all around the town including a window dressing competition with traders taking part.
Frank P Matthews will have a display of 250 different types of apples.
Experts from the Marches Apple Group will also be on hand to cast their eyes over any apples that are brought to the stall by members of the public for identification.
People who want their surplus apples turned into juice can also get help from Appleteme.
Apples and fruit traditionally play a big part in the economy of Tenbury and the Teme Valley.
