A WORK by local sculptor Jacob Rock is appearing at an exhibition on a leading London gallery.
The sculpture, Piranha, was selected from over 600 submissions for The Natural Eye, the annual exhibition of the Society of Wildlife Artists, which showcases the very best of fine art inspired by the natural world.
Mr Rock works with recycled materials to make his sculptures, and created a sculpture for Malvern Community Trust's relaunch of the former youth centre as the Cube.
He was selected for a national exhibition at Pallent House Gallery, Chichester, in 2013 and was asked to create a display of sculpture at the 2012 RHS Malvern Spring Gardening Show.
He said: "My artwork is all based on my collecting of rubbish which is impulsive yet intuitive. The main things I make is my beasts, assembled over a long period, added to as I find."
The Natural Eye exhibition opens at the Mall Galleries on Thursday, October 25, and runs until Sunday, November 4.
