A MUM is raising funds for the Born Sleeping Appeal in memory of her late daughter, Lola.

Linzie Pugh, 32, from Eardisley, will be holding a fundraising extravaganza on November 10, called 'Lola's Legacy'.

Alongside this, she has set up a Just Giving page so that Lola's legacy can live on through the Born Sleeping Appeal and the creation of a suite to host bereaved families at Hereford County Hospital.

Linzie's daughter Lola arrived stillborn in May 2011 at 38 weeks, after what Linzie described as the 'perfect pregnancy'.

She then had the 'heartbreaking' ordeal of having to spend five days on the maternity ward at Hereford County Hospital surrounded by new mums and their babies.

Linzie and her husband Liam have gone on to have two more children, Freddie, 6 and Matilda, 2.

It was Freddie's fundraising exploits in honour of his older sister that inspired Linzie to take action.

The six-year-old Eardisley Primary School pupil earlier this year raised £1,500 for the Count Kicks campaign by taking part in the Butterfly Run.

She said: "It lit a buzz in me to do something. I wanted to give something back."

Linzie has gone on to organise a fundraising extravaganza at the Dairy House, Eardisley, which will see guests be entertained by music by Mirrorball and Grace Chadwick and Benji the magician will show off his tricks.

A raffle and private auction will take also place, with prizes including tickets to Hereford FC.

The 32-year-old has been blown away by the support her event has received.

She explained: "I originally planned to sell 120 tickets but they all sold out within three days so I increased it to 200 tickets and they have sold out again."
