RESIDENTS are being invited to a special performance of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Redditch's Palace Theatre.

Wythall Theatre Company and Dynamik Theatre have combined to bring the well-known and much loved show to the Palace stage.

A spokesman said: "Come and celebrate the show's 50th anniversary with us.

"Coincidentally it also Wythall Theatre Company’s 60th anniversary year so it is a double celebration."

They added: "Aimed at all ages with guaranteed fun throughout, this show is not one to be missed."

The family fun, rock and roll biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colours comes alive through this upbeat and much-loved score.

Joseph, the favourite son of Jacob is blessed with vivid dreams that foretell the future.

Sold into slavery by his jealous brothers after his father buys him a coat of many colours Joseph finds himself in Egypt which challenges and tests him right down to the core.

After many owners and time behind bars Joseph rises to become second-in-command to the 'Elvis-like' Pharaoh after successfully interpreting his worrying dreams.

The show runs from October 24 to 27.
