A LUDLOW optician raised money for the Royal British Legion after it held a spooktacular fundraising event.

The team at Specsavers, dressed up in spooky Halloween costumes and sold poppies to raise money for the charity.

“The Royal British Legion does incredible work to improve the lives of our service men and women, so it’s great to give something back by holding this fundraising event,” says Nicola Aubrey, store director at Specsavers in Ludlow.

The Legion help members of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, as well as veterans and their families in every aspect of daily life. Founded by veterans after the First World War, the Legion safeguards the memory of those who have given their lives for our freedom through Remembrance education and events.
