THE inquest of a young dad who is believed to have taken his own life after posting a goodbye message on Facebook, is set to take place on February 20, next year.

Will Evans, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, having suffered a cardiac arrest in his home on Beauchamp Road, Malvern.

The former Dyson Perrins High School pupil worked at burger restaurant Hanbao in Worcester at the time of his death.

His inquest will be heard by senior coroner Geraint Williams at Worcestershire Coroners Court in Stourport, from 10am.

He was found by paramedics on November 8, after posting a message on Facebook which included the phrase “I’m out”.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that an emergency call was made at 3.11pm, with a male “declared dead at the scene”.

Around 30 of Mr Evans’ friends and family gathered at Victoria Skate Park in Malvern on November 15, where they lit candles and released lanterns into the night sky.

Close to 100 friends also gathered and lit candles on the common near to where Mr Evans lived.

Friend Gemma Henton said: “He was the type of lad you just loved from the moment you met him.”

Referring to the skate park memorial, she said: “A group of us decided to do something to remember him and show how much we love him.

“We all got a lantern each and wrote on it how much he was loved and how many friends he had who cared for him.”
