POLICE are now visiting a carer who said he felt there was 'no support' when his car window was smashed.

Sean Armstrong of Windermere Drive, Warndon says he called the police on Saturday night after vandals smashed the passenger window of his car. When no one turned up he rang them the next morning to be told by the operator that police "probably wouldn't be able to act" despite him giving them a description from a neighbour who says they saw the vandal:"a white male, slim build wearing black trousers with large white writing down the leg.”

A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "Police received a call at about 10.40pm on December, 8 of a car being vandalised in Windermere Drive, Warndon, Worcester, followed by further calls from the victim to discuss the crime. Every offence reported to us is assessed for the potential threat, harm and risk to the public and property. Unfortunately, follow up of the incident was delayed owing to technical issues which have since been resolved.

An officer is contacting the victim as quickly as possible to arrange a visit, to follow up the incident and inspect the vehicle. Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact the police on 101 quoting incident number 788S of 8 December. Or you can phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
