ANYONE lost a wallaby?
This little fella was spotted far from the sunshine of his species' native Australia.
Mark Hoskins snapped a picture of the creature by the side of the Breinton road in chilly Hereford today.
It is not known where he came from, but there is speculation that he escaped from a private zoo.
Five facts about wallabies
- Wallabies are marsupials related to kangaroos.
- Their lifespan ranges from about 7 to 18 years.
- They range from the size of a rabbit to almost 2m from head to the end of their tail.
- Their powerful hind legs can deliver hefty kicks to fend off potential predators.
- Wallabies bound along at about 48 kilometres per hour (30 miles per hour).
