STUDENTS will be walking out of classes in Hereford tomorrow to highlight the dangers of climate change.

The "strike for climate justice" will begin at 11.30am outside Hereford Sixth Form College on Folly Lane.

Organisers, in a post on social media, say "ice is melting, oceans are rising and time is running out".

They have encouraged others to join them in the two-hour protest when they will set out a set of demands.

The first states that the government "declares a climate emergency and prioritises the protection of life on Earth while the second asks that the "national curriculum is reformed to address the ecological crisis as an educational priority".

The final demand is for the government to "communicate the severity of the ecological crisis and the necessity to act now to the general public".
