Pupils at a Herefordshire primary school have been asked to choose a name for a new luxury housing development.
Beech Grove Homes has started work on delivering 28 new properties at its Newlands development in the village of Stoke Lacy.
The pupils at Burley Gate C E Primary School took part in a creative workshop where they looked at the history and characteristics of the area to spark ideas for a new name.
Some of the favourite names from the day will now be considered by the local council.
The Newlands development will consist of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties for a variety of purchase options.
Colleen Eccles, of Beech Grove Homes, said: “It’s very important to connect with communities that live near to new developments.
“Children are a key part of the future of any community and running sessions like this at local schools provides a great opportunity to interact with them while also helping to develop their skills.”
Headteacher Beverley Donald said: “The children were very engaged and responded with lots of enthusiasm and plenty of good ideas.”
