Firefighters were called to investigate the source of the noise
EXPOSED electrical cabling caused power problems in the Golden Valley last night.
Fire crews from Peterchurch and Ewyas Harold were called to investigate reports of a loud explosion and flashes of light seen in Peterchurch.
The source of the incident was found to be exposed underground electrical cabling.
Some residents were without power while the exposed, severed cable was repaired by Western Power.
