OVER 1,000 visitors descended on the tiny village of Stoke Lacy to celebrate the 110 year history of Morgan cars.
Enthusiasts and villagers alike came together for the classic car show and vintage fete, organised and staffed by more than 100 volunteers.
Opened by Morgan Managing Director Steve Morris, the fete offered a distinctly 1910 feel, with everything from an art exhibition to a coconut shy and welly wanging, an egg-throwing contest and even a murder mystery.
Morgan owners learned about the rich Morgan heritage embedded in the newly-renovated church of St Peter and St Paul, while craftsman Maurice Clothier, who has individually hand-made thousands of oak shingles for the church's golden spire, was on hand to give wood-turning demonstrations
The event was accompanied by an upbeat set from the Worcester Ukulele band and the sounds of Almeley’s excellent Springfield Band.
