A TEAM of colleagues have climbed the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland in 24 hours to raise £10,000 for St Richard’s Hospice.

The group of 12, who work at insurance company Hiscox and the Worcester branch of Jelf, leading advisers in insurance, risk management and employee benefits, began the challenge at Ben Nevis, Scotland, on Saturday, July 6.

After summiting Ben Nevis, the team have tackled Scafell Pike in the Lake District during the early hours of Sunday morning. They were driven to Snowdon, Wales, to finish the challenge by 4pm on Sunday, July 7.

Ben Dale, senior account executive at Jelf, said: “We’re very excited and nervous to push ourselves physically and mentally to complete this challenge.

“We will have to contend with the changeable weather conditions, relentless rocky paths and hope for a clear run when on the road.

“Jelf has long-supported St Richard’s Hospice. This is our way of saying thank you and supporting the continuously great work everyone at the hospice does.”

The team from Jelf include Mr Dale, Hannah Bell, Jack Wilks, Andrew Hay, Ian Vass, Jim Stevenson and Rebecca Merry.

From Hiscox are Dawn Blazier, Sarah O’Reilly, David Shaw, Lewis Pettitt and Arun Kohli. There are two drivers, Peter Basten and David Bridges. To donate visit justgiving.com/fundraising/jelf-hiscox-threepeaks
