CLEAR skies and a warm evening brought out Herefordshire's moon watchers.
Strictly speaking, it was not a full moon last night (it happens tonight), but it was a striking sight nevertheless.
Chris Lyons's stunning shot of Ross-on-Wye by moonlight was, perhaps, the pick of the crop of photographs by members of the Hereford Times Camera Club. The black-and-white landscape has the qualities of a picture from a fairytale.
Our lensmen and lenswomen are likely to be out in force again tonight, not necessarily for the full moon but for the partial lunar eclipse which can be see tonight, weather permitting.
