THERE is plenty to get up to this bank holiday weekend.

The Friends of Fort Royal are hosting a fun family event in the Park. At the event, which takes place on Monday August 26 from 4pm to 7pm, there will be live entertainment from Orchard Band and Drumlove, with the opportunity to join in a live Zumba session too.

Afternoon teas will be on sale, thanks to support from local company SouthCo.

Fans of the colour purple will enjoy Pershore Plum Festival. The festival celebrates the humble fruit that has made the town famous. On Saturday and Sunday you can tour Walsgrove Farm, pick-your-own plums whilst being guided around the orchards.

There is a classic car show in Abbey Park on Monday August 26. The spaces for cars have been fully booked so do not take your classic car along unless you have a pre-booked ticket, because you won’t be allowed in. But you are able to wander around and have a look at them all. This is one of the biggest classic car rallies in the West Midlands.

The Arial Owners Motor Cycle Club are holding their Annual Rally in Pershore, you can can view the bikes and meet their owners.

For music lovers there is Sunshine Festival in Upton upon Severn. The line up includes big names like Scouting for Girls, Peter Andre, Busted, East17, Jedward and The Osmonds.

The weather is expected to get warmer into the weekend. Saturday will see maximum temperatures of 26 degrees. Sunday is also expected to be dry, bright and warm. Monday will be cloudy with sunny intervals.
