AN artist who regularly exhibits at RHS shows and who's work has been commissioned for Chelsea Flower Show by triple gold award winning designer Sarah Eberle, is now showcasing his work at the historic Walled Gardens at Croome Court, near Pershore, in a seven-week exhibition.

Artist Darren Rumley creates beautiful and functional work. Each piece unique and made by hand using various processes, materials and techniques.

A spokesman said: "Darren especially enjoys exploring concrete as an art form – the results are impressive, and incredibly tactile.

"Darren's collection of outdoor and indoor work includes large pebbles made from concrete. They are a striking statement in any garden and true to Darren's love of art having a practical use, they also double as seating.

"One of Darren's exhibits which is causing quite a stir is Eclipse. The moongate arch, with concrete cubes either side, is large enough to walk through. When approaching the sculpture, visitors will see it frames the impressive views which, on a clear day, stretch for miles and miles.

"The arch is fitted with a light which creates a stunning affect and adds to the magic of the piece. "This of course can only be fully appreciated at night so will need to be purchased to be seen."

The exhibition runs until Sunday, September 29, when the gardens close for the winter, and all exhibits are available to purchase.

The exhibition also includes the work of contemporary jewellery designer Ali Tregaskes and outdoor garden art by Claudia Petley and Paul Shepherd who work together to produce metal wildlife sculptures.

As well as viewing the exhibitions, visitors can; explore the gardens, learn about the extensive and ongoing restoration project, walk through the tunnels, and visit the shop which sells an array of gifts.
