TWO Bromsgrove sisters have raised a huge £4,000 for breast cancer charities as a tribute to their late mother on what would have been her 60th birthday.

Karen Perry and Kim Badger held a massive charity evening in memory of their mum Lynda Badger, who died in 1991, aged just 32.

The event - held at Droitwich Rugby Club - was a real family-friendly event, featuring singers, a bouncy castle, an auction and more.

At the time of her death, Lynda's daughters were aged only 10 and seven.

While battling cancer, Lynda threw herself into a host of fundraising events, raising cash for hospital departments and breast cancer charities that helped her during her treatment.

With that in mind, her daughters decided to do something special to mark what would have been a milestone occasion.

Their target was £3,000 but they exceeded that and have donated £1,000 to Coppafeel! and £3,000 to Breast Cancer Now.

Kim said: "The evening was a big success.

"We went down to London to present the cheque to Breast Cancer Now and they are truly amazing people.

"They all took the time to come and meet us and hear our story we will definitely be working with them again."
