PRO-BREXIT campaigners took to Hereford's High Town at the weekend as the Brexit deadline approaches.

Hereford and South Herefordshire Brexit Party activists were joined by prospective parliamentary candidate Matt Slocombe at their city centre stand.

They say their local campaign is to engage with all voters that feel their voices are not heard.

Both visitors to the stand and passers by were offered a free Brexiteer paper and Brexit merchandise.

The campaigners said many of the people they spoke to felt dismayed at the disconnect between Parliament and the people.

"Several people who had voted to remain in the EU agreed that we must respect democracy and get on with Brexit," a campaign spokesperson said.

Matt Slocombe said he was not surprised at the strength of feeling.

“The majority of voters I speak too feel let down by the current parliament. People don’t believe a word that the politicians are telling us any more.

"The Brexit Party stands for change. Time to reset our politics for the better. Our party is here to put real people back into politics."
