THERE will be a number of lane closures taking place due to the M5 junction 6 improvement works.

As part of the improvement scheme, the roundabout, slip roads and all the approaches will widen.

An extra lane to the roundabout will also be put in place and traffic signals on the A449 and the A4538 Pershore Lane South will also be in place.

On October 21 and October 22 between 10pm and 6am the lane below the traffic sign will be closed leading to a full closure of the M5 southbound exit slip.

From Monday, October 28 to Friday, November 1 between 10pm and 6am there will be a full closure of Pershore Lane South.

A fully signed diversion will be in place.

The following traffic managements will be in place:

  • Narrow lanes in places on the roundabout and all approaches.
  • 50mph speed limit in place reducing down to 30mph.
  • Barrier in place on the M5 and A4440 and A449 approaches.
  • Free recovery service in place on both Highways England and Worcestershire County Council network.
  • Daytime off-peak (9.30am to 3.00pm) lane closures.
  • Nightime off-peak (8pm to 6am) full closures and lane closures.

Sixways Arena is hosting fireworks display on November 1.

Worcester Warriors are playing against Exeter on November 3 at 3pm, with 8,000 people expected to attend.
