A SECONDARY school in north Herefordshire has been forced to close today (Friday) to fix a water leak in the building.
A "significant leak" in one of the corridors at Queen Elizabeth High School, Bromyard was found when staff and students returned on Monday after half term.
In a letter to parents and carers, headteacher Martin Farmer said the school has managed to remain open this week by diverting pupils around the area.

To fix the issue, it means the electricity supply will need to be turned off and as a result today has become an inset day.
"We apologise for this closure, in normal circumstances we would try and work around the issue but this is a priority and as such we need to employ the safest and most sensible protocols to get back to normal operation," the letter said.
The school added that it would try to accommodate students where possible, if any parents or carers had a problem with the closure.
