A MAN has been arrested after ramming a police car and losing control of the vehicle as he tried to flee the scene.
Shortly before 3.30pm on Friday afternoon a car was involved in a crash on the A49 north of Hereford, near to Church Road in Lyde.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said the car drove away at speed after ramming a police car.
"Two police officers in a police vehicle were involved in a collision, and in an attempt to detain a suspect the police vehicle was rammed," they said.
"The suspect then left the scene at speed where they lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
