THERE is heavy traffic congestion in the city centre following lane closures.
Cars have been backing up along Dolday, Croft Road and Castle Street as well as City Walls Road.
The traffic appears to be due to lane closures along Bridge Street, Worcester Bridge and New Road.
Worcestershire County Council's Highways team has said the traffic management measures in New Road are in place to enable them to respond to any further river flooding over the weekend.
First Worcester has tweeted to say that due to traffic congestion on the approach to Powick roundabout, the Bull Ring and Worcester Bridge, all its Worcester City and Malvern bus services are delayed by an hour.
