Four people are suspected of hare coursing in the Cotswolds.
Gloucestershire police's rural crime team seized numerous dogs and a vehicle on New Year's Day.
A post on their Twitter page read: "Come hare coursing in the Cotswolds and we'll happily keep your dog's whilst you have a long walk home because your vehicle has also been seized.
"A good result from New Year's day. Four offenders awaiting prosecution."
Hare coursing is a bloodsport where dogs are used to chase, catch and kill hares.
It is illegal in the UK under the Hunting Act 2004, which makes it an offence to hunt wild mammals with dogs. Anyone convicted of the offence can receive a fine of up to £5,000.
