THE Redditch Labour Party have finalised their list of candidates for the upcoming council elections in May.
Nine seats are up for election and five new faces are hoping to gain a place on Redditch Borough Council this time around.
Candidates include: Simon Preston (Headless Cross and Oakenshaw), Andrew Bevan (Matchborough), Dr Nayab Patel (Lodge Park), Sharon Harvey (Winyates), and Monica Fry (West) former mayoress of Redditch.
The May elections will also see four current Labour councillors looking to maintain their seat on the council.
These are councillors Bill Hartnett (Church Hill), Greg Chance (Central), Joseph Baker (Greenlands), and Pattie Hill (Batchley and Brockhill.)
Andrew Bevan summarised the aims of the Labour candidate group by saying “We will work tirelessly with residents to achieve the Redditch we deserve. We are all incredibly excited to embark on our election campaigns and represent the town we all love.”
