CLIMATE campaigners are inviting people in Herefordshire to learn more about the climate crisis, with a weekend of talks and training.

The international movement is known for its protests, and says it aims to halt mass extinction and minimise the risk of social collapse.

The Herefordshire branch will be holding a public talk introducing the climate crisis and exploring the reasons behind members choosing civil disobedience as a response, how Extinction Rebellion is responding to the climate crisis, and what you can do to get involved, at the Friends' Meeting House, 21 King Street, on January 24

They will also be running a training weekend at Hereford's Castle Green Pavilion on January 25 and Sunday 26 from 9am to 5pm.

The free event is open to non-members and will cover topics including community building, non-violent direct action, self-organising systems (exploring the basic principles of self-organising systems and how this is realised in Extinction Rebellion’s structure), regenerative culture and much more.
