ONE patient had to be cut free after a crash which closed the A4103 between Hereford and Worcester this morning.
Police advised motorists to avoid the road at Storridge, on the border of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, as it was blocked with long delays in both directions.
A telegraph pole had fallen across the road and the crash was said to have taken place near the old New Inn pub.

The Midlands Air Ambulance was called to the scene, but was cleared with one patient needing treatment.
"We were called to reports of a reports of a road traffic collision on the A4103 at 9.04am," a spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
"One ambulance, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, the driver of a car which had also collided with a pylon.
"He had to be cut free from his vehicle by the fire service before being treated injuries not believed to be serious.
"He was then transported to Worcester Royal Hospital by land ambulance for further assessment.”
UPDATE 12.20pm: Police said traffic is starting to move through the scene, but will take a little time to clear due to the tailback (and one HGV now has a flat battery). Please expect short-term delays.
