A MAN has denied possessing 'extreme pornography' featuring sex acts with a dog, two goats, a chicken, an octopus and a horse.

Owen Goode of Dejardins Way, Pershore, denied two counts of possessing extreme pornography when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old says the images were sent to him via WhatsApp and that he did not know they were on his mobile phone after they were automatically saved to it through the messaging service.

He denied possessing extreme pornography (five moving images) and a compilation of videos which portrayed in an explicit or realistic way an act likely to result in serious injury, an offence alleged to have taken place on September 23, 2017.

He also denied a further count of possessing extreme pornography (six moving images) which portrayed explicit sexual activity with a live animal which was 'grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character' between September 22 and December 17, 2017.

The trial was placed in a warned list for the week beginning Monday, July 13 which means it will begin as soon as possible after that date.

Goode was granted unconditional bail.
