FLOOD barriers in Bewdley have been taken down today after being deployed over a month ago.
Around 110 homes and about 35 businesses are known to have suffered from flooding across Wyre Forest following the wettest February on record.
Environment Agency manager for Herefordshire and Worcestershire Dave Throup said on Twitter: "After more than a month our flood barriers at Severnside North #bewdley are coming down this morning."
Temporary barriers on Beales Corner were previously removed on Thursday, March 12.
Chief executive of Wyre Forest District Council Ian Miller said in a tweet: "Many thanks to @EnvAgencyMids for their help and support over the last month. Longest deployment that I recall in last ten years."
Following the Budget announcement on Wednesday, March 11, the Severn Valley is set to receive at least £23m for flood defences and resilience.
Bewdley campaigners are hopeful permanent flood barriers will be installed on Beales Corner following a visit from the Prime Minister.
Temporary flood defences at the Wribbenhall side of the River Severn were recently breached and stranded residents had to be rescued from their homes.
